We build and invest in businesses made to last.

Got something worth building? Serelis partners with founders, bringing capital, a product team and proper systems, and stays for the long run.

Bring us into your business

Most growing businesses are not short of ideas. They are short of money, people or systems, usually all three. We bring them, and become shareholders alongside you.

  1. 01

    Invest

Capital for the next stage, with Serelis as a long-term shareholder who stays close.

  2. 02

    Build

Our team builds the product, platform or systems. Instead of a large invoice, we take a stake in what we help create.

  3. 03

    Invest and build

Capital and a team together, for a business ready to move on several fronts at once.

02

Where is your business stuck?

The Growth Check asks nine questions about customers, money, systems and you. In about three minutes you get an honest read and the one thing to fix first.

What we’ve built and backed

Two companies we started and run ourselves, and two we back alongside their founders. The same people and tools would work on yours.

ShopEazy

An online store for every South African hustle.

ShopEazy gives South African sellers a proper online store, from a first side hustle to a business with staff. Store, checkout and the admin behind them, in one place.

Payments settle in rand through the seller’s own gateway, so the money goes to them and never sits with us.

Omnexis

Swaps spreadsheets and admin for systems that work.

Omnexis builds the systems a growing company needs once the spreadsheets stop coping: client records, workflows, reporting and the plumbing between them.

It works with South African businesses of 10 to 100 people. It is also where a lot of the engineering behind the other companies gets done.

03Backed by SerelisInsurance software

Valentry

Runs an insurance brokerage from one connected system.

Valentry is the system South African insurance brokerages run their business on: clients, policies, servicing, advice and FAIS and FICA compliance, each brokerage under its own brand.

It replaces the CRM, spreadsheets and email folders most brokerages get by with today, and turns a compliance check from hours into seconds.

04Backed by SerelisConsumer brand

Electric Lettuce

A small-batch, members-only brand for adults.

Electric Lettuce is a premium South African cannabis brand built around craft: the grow, the cure and the choosing. Small batches, made slowly.

Membership is limited to verified adults aged 21 and over, in line with South African law.

Five things you can hold us to.

Bringing in a partner is one of the biggest calls a founder makes. These are ours to keep. What fair terms look like

  1. One page. Plain English.

Before a lawyer touches it, you see the whole deal on a single page: what we bring, what we get, how we decide and how either of us can leave. If it cannot be explained simply, it is not a good deal.

  2. Earned, not promised.

Every share we take is tied to something you can point at: cash in the bank or work delivered. If we do not deliver, we do not get it.

  3. Your name stays on the door.

It is still your business. We sit beside you, not above you, and the few big calls we make together are written down on day one.

  4. No exit clock.

There is no fund behind us waiting for a payout, so nobody is pushing you to sell. When it gets hard, and it will, we are still here.

  5. Check our homework.

Have your own lawyer read every word. We will answer every question they ask, and we would think less of a deal where nobody did.

How it fits together

Serelis is the company behind the companies. Each one has its own name, customers and books. They share people, code and know-how, and so would yours.
